Gio is a 2008 hanoverian gelding by Gymnastic Star out of Dabado MH (De Niro). He stands at 17hh and is a very elegant and modern type of dressage horse with his elastic gaits and quality showing through in his work. He learns very quickly and he is very talented at all the tricks! We competed in both of our first PSG test together, which was so special to share it with Gio! His party trick is the flying changes and piaffe. I try not to practise tricks too much because he is very rowdy and likes to take over. He doesn’t like being told what to do so he will throw in movements before you even ask him to do them, which has been troublesome in test riding in the past! He is VERY quirky, can be tricky and sensitive but he is very fun to ride, he really loves his job and when he sees you as a partner he will give you everything he has. Gio and I have been together since the end of 2013 when I bought him as a very green five year old. We are now becoming a very confident team and look forward to what the future brings.

Ruby is an impressive 17.2hh 2014 bay warmblood who has all the dutch bloodlines you could wish for! Her name is Ethiopian and means princess. Her sire is Jazz C (Jazz x Krack C) and she is out of Gemmingha (Gemma) who is an imported proven Flemmingh mare. I started her under saddle myself and she has been amazing to ride the whole way. She has presence to burn turning heads wherever she goes, she has a lot of power and is a sensitive and clever horse to ride. She has an amazing work ethic and just loves to work with me making our partnership very strong right from the beginning. I have really high hopes for our career together.

Jet is a 2015 bright bay gelding who is by Jazz C, the same sire as Ruby and out of PSL Pepper Potts who is by Prestige VDL out of an imported small tour champion mare, Jaybee Svetlana (by SkyHigh). We also have his little brother out of Pepper called Elfie. Jet was started under saddle at the end of 2019 and has shown much talent for dressage. He has great quality and he is very sharp and sensitive. He can be a bit tricky and he is not for the faint hearted but I love riding him! He is a horse who needs a team mate and when he knows he has that in you, he is very genuine and willing.

Pepper is my broodmare, she is a 16.2hh 2008 bay mare by Prestige VDL out of Jaybee Svetlana. She is very beautiful and photos just don't do her justice. She is also the kindest and sweetest horse I have ever met! She is a complete darling and I just absolutely love her. She has had seven foals, two of which are by Jazz C (Jet being one of them), and four by Lingh II, all of whom were bred by Prestige Sporthorses. I have bred one foal from her, a chestnut colt by Golden Strike who is a cracker just like his older siblings. She is currently in foal to Bellario, which I am very excited to meet at the end of the year (2020).

Gemma is a 16hh imported 1997 bay mare who was bred at AEA Stud in Australia. She was trained and competed there to medium level before becoming a broodmare and then later coming to New Zealand. She has produced very talented foals who have gone on to compete at international Grand Prix. She is also very special to us as she is Ruby’s dam and we treasure her every day. She is retired now, I have ridden her a few times and she was an absolute treat, its very obvious she was trained super well and definitely isn't a beginners horse as she is a bit of a rocket.
